Evaluation

Evaluation What were the aims of the brief from your chosen charity / campaign, and did you achieve them? The chosen charity for my groups anti bullying short film was called BullyingUK and they have a site with a number to call if you are being bullied, they offer help to those who are being bullied in situations like cyber bullying, physical and emotional bullying too . The aims of this campaign was to get cyberbullying more recognized through showing it in the short film. I feel we achieved the aims but only one thing was changed, the location. What were your original ideas and how did these develop throughout the project? The original idea was to film a student getting cyberbullied and then being made fun of. Then the student would alienate himself even further by breaking his phone then he saw a bullyingUK poster, the scene changes to a rope hanging from the ceiling but he isn’t in the shot he is on the phone to bullyingUK if we were to follow this idea it would have bee...

Cyberbullying Proposal

Cyberbullying Actors: Adam Shane Props:  Phone, Computers, Rope, Chair Location: Library Café Park We are promoting bullying uk And we are doing cyber bullying and how it affects people based on their religion ethnicity and gender and sexual orientation.   Purpose for our proposal: The campaign we're making is to mainly inform and educate the public audience about the effect and causes cyber bullying has on many people, aged from 12+, cyber bullying can target anyone and must be stopped. We want to raise awareness for this problem because many children and people who surf the web intend to either be cyber bullied or they're the cyber bullies. Although, these people may believe that they're not doing nothing wrong by just called people offence terms or names, these small things can have a big impact on the person being bullied and, because of this racial profiling, name calling, gender profiling, or sexual bullying, they end up either hurting them...

Prison break Analysis

Prison Break Notes It starts off with the Protagonist/MC getting a tattoo but they don’t show the tattoo which means it may play a part in what is to come so they keep it very secretive. Then the MC plans to rob a bank but his intentions are to get caught so he doesn't resist arrest. He wants to break his brother out because he was set up for the murder of a politician and has a death sentence. During his first day in his cell he sees someone stabbed and watches them bleed in horror, he is not accustomed for this life and it is clear he is doing this out of love for his brother. Also while he is prison he has flashbacks of when he was getting the tattoos of the prison architecture so he can break his brother out, also shows flashbacks of him planning how to escape. Its is not in chronological order because of the way it has been produced, it shows his past then the future instead of starting from the beginning. The time and space is during the last month before his broth...

Trailer Analysis

Snicker Advert Analysis The scene starts off with an establishing shot of temples in Japan with guards lurking around  the temples, it is based in japan because of the style of temples and the guards are in Samurai attire which originates from japan. It then cuts to a long shot to show ninjas sneaking past the guards and then its shows Mr Bean (Rowan Atkinson) clumsily following behind in a close up to add a comedic style to the advert. Then the cutting speeds as a non diegetic sound is played throughout and the cutting rate increases to show the conversation between Mr Bean and his companions tell him to focus. The cutting slows to show some more establishing shots of the temples and Mr Bean and his companions running across the rooftops. Mr Bean is still slacking behind in a comedic style, one reason they chose Mr Bean was because he is well known for his clumsiness.  Mr Bean falls through the roof...

TV Crime Drama Analysis

Gotham First Five minutes Gotham starts off with establishing shots being shown at a fast cutting rate, this shows some level of intensity but at this moment we are not sure why, it then transitions to a jump cut of a girl running on the top of a building and the cutting gets faster but it hasn't revealed the girls face yet so it gives a sense of mystery. They show the face using a mid shot because she is doing a cat like pose. When they show the face it’s still a mystery of who it is unless you are a fan of DC comics and Batman. It then cuts to a high angle shot of her looking down into the street ,its then followed by another establishing shot of the dark crowded street of Gotham. She then Leaps down into the street and the camera shot changes to a close up and the camera follows her like it is on a tract, it goes to a close up of her pocke...

Shocking Day Analysis

Image
Textual analysis The advert starts off with the little girl blowing out her candle, from these props we can infer that it is her birthday and she is spending it with her Mum and Dad. Also at the beginning the natural lighting is very bright and the mood is very cheery. She is surrounded people she knows and loves this changes towards the end because she is surround by the complete opposite.she starts off as such a kindred spirit then she her spirits drop to dull faces. From the location from one of the screenshots i can tell that it is London by the skyscraper which looks like a tall dome and also you can tell by her accent as well. At the beginning her appearance is that of a healthy, happy young girl wearing nice looking clothes. When the chaos starts she starts wearing sometimes the same clothes but they have holes and rips in them and her hair starting to fall out, it could be stress related because of the war or it could be radiation poisoning because later in the video...
